We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our dynamic engineering team at USF Fabrication, Inc. As a Drafter, you will play a crucial role in translating engineering designs and concepts into detailed technical drawings and plans. The Drafter reviews customer requirements, and then develops sketches and/or notations that communicate the customers’ requirements on the drawing utilizing Mechanical drafting practices. Develops and evaluates manufacturing part layouts methods, utilizing knowledge of materials formation, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, and assembly methods.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
· Experienced in General Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) as per ANSI Y-14.5 is a plus.
· General Math which includes Geometry and the use of calculators.
· Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
· Mechanically inclined is a must.
· Understand basic metal fabrication practices and welding symbols.
· Follow written and verbal instructions.
· Self-motivated and a Team player
· Be Proficient in Microsoft Office, and understand basics of Excel.
· Have Excellent Organizational Skills.
· Have Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
· Willingness to work a flexible schedule as the workload necessitates.
· Ensure Compliance With Company Policies and Procedures.
· 3 years’ experience in a fabrication/manufacturing environment.

· Must be able to sit 6 – 8 hours a day
· Must be able to walk 1 -2 hours a day
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
· Must be able to work in front of a computer monitor for 6 – 8 hours at least.
Ability to hear alarms and audibly identify dangers or hazards when seldom required to visit production areas.
